WARRANTY INFORMATION

First Rate Blinds is proud of our products, and we stand 100% behind their quality, performance, and durability! If you are dissatisfied with any of our items, please contact us immediately so that we can help resolve your situation.

We offer the following warranties to all of our products:

LIFETIME:

  • Entire product against defects in manufacturing (for example, a flaw in product design, materials, or workmanship that causes the product to cease to function)
FIVE YEARS:
  • All fabric
THREE YEARS:
  • Cords, including internal cords such as those found in our cordless blinds
NOT COVERED:
  • Normal, daily wear and tear
  • Products that fail due to the following circumstances:
    • Abuse
    • Accidents
    • Alterations
    • Damage from pests/insects/pets
    • Exposure to salt air
    • Extraordinary use
    • Improper installation
    • Improper operation
    • Improper cleaning
    • Improper handling
    • Misapplication
    • Misuses
  • Costs Associated With:
    • Incidental or consequential damages
    • Product removal
    • Product re-measure
    • Product reinstallation
    • Shipping
If you have multiple blinds or shades in the same room, only the damaged one will be replaced.

TO REPORT SHIPPING DAMAGE, OR BEGIN A WARRANTY CLAIM:

If one of our products was damaged in route to your home, call us at 1-800-655-1080, or email support@firstrateblinds.com to report this within seven (7) calendar days. Failure to do so might void this warranty.

WARRANTY REMEDY:

If your product is found to have a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship we will (at our discretion) either:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace the product
  • Refund the purchase price of the product

DISCLOSURES:

  • Colors vary from lot to lot (new purchases might not match old orders/swatches)
  • Discontinued items or colors will be replaced with the closest equivalent current product

RETURNS and Return Policy

If you are dissatisfied with any of our products, please call us prior to attempting to make a return.

All of our products are custom made, therefore making it impossible for us to resell returns. For this reason, all sales are final.
If you happen to mis-measure, we offer an “oops remake” program, where we can sell you new blinds for a reduced price, at a loss to us.
In the rare instance that a shade is damaged in transit, please call us as we will help you get a free replacement.

Prior to sending a return back, the blind must be packaged appropriately. In an instance where we request for a damaged product to be returned for review by the manufacturer in exchange for a new product, we will bill you the full amount of the new product if the damaged one is not returned. No exceptions.

Prior to placing your order, please ensure that you have the following information correct and handy:

  • Correct measurements: Measure the opening of your window to the closest 1/8”. We recommend that you measure the frame at the top, middle, and bottom of each window as no window is “perfect”. We are not responsible for incorrect measurements, so please call us for help before placing your order.
  • Desired color: Please be sure that you are confident in the color/design of your shade prior to ordering. We offer free samples of the actual fabrics so that you can make a stress-free selection. We are not responsible for incorrect color/design choices.
  • Specifications of desired product: Please review the specifications of the product(s) you are ordering and contact our team of experts with any questions.
  • Are you calling us to place your order? Please verify all of the provided information, as we are not responsible for customer errors when phoning in orders. We will gladly repeat all orders back to you.
